Thinking out loud - as a baby

My Not So Happy 19??

Jun 23, 2009 Author: Ryan | Filed under: Development & Achievement, Health, Milestones

I was down with flu on 15 June and the condition became worse on 18th as the Mr. Cough bug came to me… sigh. Therefore, I was fetched by mummy & Nai Nai to see Pd again on last Friday. Yup, daddy was out of town over the weekend for 3 days lor.

Well, nothing very serious. Just that I have lots of phlegm and nose blocked badly. However, the bad news is…. I need to take these colorful syrups! From two to 4 types!

I don’t like any of them… yucks! I would retreat the moment I saw the adults preparing the medicine. I kept telling them that I don’t want but they still force me to take the medicine…

Well, let me share a brief update on my 19 months old milestones…

Vital Statistics as of 23 June 2009:

Weight:

Pretty sure reduced a little already… coz I’m sick!

Height:

Didn’t measure :P

Teeth:

Two upper cuspids on the left and right have erupted about 1 week ago…hehe.

*Photos taken last month. No latest photos available :( *

Therefore, I drool a lot nowadays… till my shirt wet :P

Also, teething has made me couldn’t help but to bite on things due to the gum itchiness… I like to put in my fingers into my mouth to the gum soothe it.

See, what mummy gave me to bite on? My old teething toys! I look funny isn’t it?? It’s not suitable for my age already, huh??

Feeding:

Still having mummy’s milk for mid night/early morning feeding besides the formula. Also, don’t quite like to eat porridge nowadays. But I do like noodles!

Food introduced:

  1. Chocolate! Yum-yum!
  2. Grapes - ok, quite like it.
  3. Green apples - sour!! :P
  4. Prawn crackers… yes, yes!

Sleeping Style:

No soother from mummy to soothe me sleep but wanted “yao-yao”, the swinging cradle to rock me to sleep at night. Got hooked with it ever since I caught the flu bug. I felt it’s more comfortable to sleep especially when I’ve got my nose blocked. Thus, I prefer sleeping in my “yao-yao” at night recently.

Motor Skills:

Able to open and close the doors at on my own… and even the safety gate which yeh yeh made… :P Also, love to slot in key into the door knob. Trying to get the right key to unlock the doors.

Asking people to sit on the floor so that I could take over their seat… hehe!

Afraid of darkness a little lately. Requested mummy to on the lights every time she switches it off… perhaps to extend my play time :P

Alphabets mastered so far… L to P where by L for light, M for mummy, N for nuts, O for orange and P for Pen.

Able to kneel down and bow to perform prayers.

Attempted to wear my pants, socks, shoes & slipper on my own. I’m working hard to achieve my goal as I’m sure I’ll master the skill one fine day! ;)

Scared of the word “cane”. I’ll most likely will behave when mummy asked “Do you want cane?” But sometimes, the cane method doesn’t work at all… :P

Prefer to walk/run about in the mall rather than sitting on the shopping cart or my stroller.

Climbing up and down the stairs unaided.

Able to identify & say out silver color.

Like to hold on other people’s finger to point at things (like alphabets/pictures printed on books/pamphlet/newspapers) and say it out… hehe, to teach them. :)

Fussed to get hold of mummy’s digicam… :P

Love to play with mummy’s camera…I’ll always try to snatch the camera from mummy to view what mummy has captured and also like to see myself in the camera too… :)

Communication/Social skills:

Well, I’m now a good friend to a parrot so I’m able to say/speak simple sentence such as…

Here Comes Koh-Kok! Koh-Kok!

Jun 18, 2009 Author: Ryan | Filed under: Events, Growing up, My 1st Year

Okay, this is a backdated post which supposed to be published two weeks ago.

Guess where was I? Play school?

Nah…  still too young early to go to school. Furthermore, I want to enjoy life first before my schooling years begin… ;) Anyway, I was having lunch at Chili’s at Gurney Plaza on last last Friday.

I had some fries from daddy’s meal while waiting for my food to arrive….

Dang, dang, dang, dang… my food has arrived. It’s my third time having macaroni & cheese at Chili’s and the best part was kid get to eat FREEE with bottomless drinks!!

I love macaroni & cheese!

After lunch, I discovered this amazing electronic pet called Pleo!! Pleo is a baby Camarasaurus which has emotions and responds and interacts when you touch/pat it.

I love to pat Pleo wanted him to be closer to me. I wish I could take it home with me but mummy says Pleo will cost a bomb to her as I can only take it home after paying the amount of RM1699!! So, I have to leave Pleo there and proceed to our next destination. :(

Next, daddy & mummy brought me to this place called Penang Turf Club for the National Horse Show. They purposely took a day off on 5 June just to bring me there to see real horsey.

First they brought me to watch horse riding competitions. There were tents and chairs provided for spectators to watch the competitions.

The moment I saw horses I shouted “Horse Koh-Kok! Koh-Kok!” and started to bending my knees up and down… yup, I was learning and trying to gallop like the horses… hehe. ;)

Ain’t this horse beautiful? However, mummy felt pity on those horses for striving and working hard for hours under the hot sun.

The weather on that day was really hot and humid. So, we went to the far end nearer to the horses’ cooling/resting spot and stood under the trees which was cooler than hiding under the tents. I roamed around there watching the horses chilling under the shades. That’s the max that we could get nearer to the horses.

Suddenly, the owner/rider of this brown horse led it come closer to the spot we stood and let us touch his horse. Nope, I wasn’t scared at all patting the horsey and it’s nice to stroke on its soft and silky brown fur!

Then, we quickly snapped a photo with the brown horse again.

Next, we roamed to the horse stable whereby there were different types of horses breeds kept and also displayed for public viewing.

This horse is quite funny. He nibbled on the hay. Next, dipped his mouth into a pail of water, spitted everything out and stuck out his tongue long. He kept doing the same thing all over again and again non stop! :P

Hey, this is the shortest horse among the horses there! Even a donkey was bigger size than him! Ain’t he cute?? ;)

After that, we proceed to the carnival section whereby there were bazaar, clowns, pony rides(missed out that! :| ), face painting, stage performances and etc….

Look at my sad face… I looked a little tired though but deep down my heart I don’t wish to leave that place. But then, daddy & mummy dragged me home!! I protested and whined hard when they forced me to sit in the car. Nevertheless, they ignored my protest and drove me home… sigh! Anyhow, I enjoyed myself and had so much fun there on that day. :)

Well, that’s all folks. So now, please excuse me as I need to drink up these!! Sigh. Yup, I caught the flu bugs from HW Kor Kor since Monday… :(

Getting to know you…

This is what I’ve been up to lately….

Yup, yup, getting to know more about CARS! I love and enjoy to destruct things nowadays especially the victims, my cheap toy cars which made of plastics can be easily dismantled. And then, I would try to put everything back. Somehow, the chances of putting them back are pretty slim… :P Anyway, Mummy is wondering whether I’ll be following my ah Kong’s foot step becoming a mechanic or not in future.  But hey, I love cars and I’m the number 1 fan of this wonderful automobile ever created! Thus, I need to do experiments in order to get to know more about cars in details, right?

Tong and not Moo…??

May 28, 2009 Author: Ryan | Filed under: Growing up, My 1st Year

To get to know more of the story, please view the following photos…

So, to moral of the story is… love and appreciate what you have even though it’s weird. Geee… this post’s story line has ran out abit, don’t you think so? :P Actually, it’s supposed to be a post about my moo-bank. This moo-bank was bought by my Nai-nai on last December. She wanted to get me a pink piggy but couldn’t find at all as most of the shops were selling cow shaped due to welcoming the Cow year lo! So, she bought this cow for me so that I could learn the skill of slotting in the coins in the tiny hole on top of the cow’s head.  However, the main purpose was for me to cultivate the habit of banking in $$$ in the moo-bank a.k.a. saving $$$ for my future.

I’ve been banking in coins since last December and I love to slot in the coins since then. Whenever I see or found some coins, I would request for “tong-tong”. Yes, I called the moo-bank as “tong-tong”! Why? Because it says “tong” when I insert the coins into the cow’s head… hehe! And of course, a real cow says “moo” and not “tong” as I know the moo-bank it’s not a real cow which eats coins ;)
