Thinking out loud - as a baby

Yesterday, I had my early first birthday celebration! It was a small celebration for me. Only celebrated with my family members by having lunch at Manila Place restaurant in Gurney Plaza. Ok, ok… I got you. To cut it short, here are the photos… Beware, this post loaded with lots and lots of photos :P

Mummy & daddy woke me up early in the morning to get ready for my big day celebration.

TADAAA… After much consideration, decided to wear RED and WHITE. So that everyone will be happy, ya? Hehe… However, daddy says I look like China man due to the way mummy styled my hair! :(

So, this is the pair of shoes which mummy made up her mind to let me wear. According to her, the rest of my shoes are way too big for my feet… haha

Reached Gurney Plaza at 11am. I insisted to come down and walk on my own by holding on to mummy’s hand only as I was scared that I would get lost in the mall full of people. Lots of people went to Gurney Plaza as it has launched it’s new wing/extension (newly built) of the mall.

Was waiting patiently for my FOOD at the restaurant. However, Nai-nai (grandma) brought my porridge along and fed me… *sigh*

Ahhh…here comes my FOOD! Yum-yum! Chicken ham omelette with some fries specially ordered for me… hehe. However, I only get to have few bites as I was too full after eating my porridge… *sigh*

While the adults were enjoying their lunch, I discovered these red ball ball on the dining table and had a good time playing with it. ;)

Helped mummy distributing the red balls (eggs) …

Then, mummy peeled one of the red balls, errm… ok it’s an egg. She asked me to take a bite. Yeeeew… I don’t like it! Blah! :P Almost vomitted the egg out :P

Dang dang dang dang…. here’s my first birthday cake… it’s a number one shape with a farm theme which has 5 piggies on it. Yup, I was born in the Golden Piggy Year mah. So, daddy decided to choose this piggy theme lor…

Yeh yeh lit up the candle for me. Then, they all sang Happy Happy Birthday to ME song!! Well, obviously I wasn’t paying attention to them as I was more interested in the candle…

Next, cake cutting time! Wanted to cut it on my own… but then…. you know what happened as you can see in the photo above… After cake cutting session, the adults cut up and ate my cake hurriedly as we’ve only got two hours for the event and we’re running late  I only ate one pinch my of chocolate cake and not a piece… why? Because I quite don’t like it… :P

After that, we went roaming around the mall. The adults had their fun time shopping especially the ladies… . Mean while the guys went to coffee bean. And me leh? Of course, slept in the stroller while the ladies pushing me around and did their shopping!

Ho-ho-ho… check out my pressies and there were angpows too!! More ang pows than pressies… bad news for me, huh? Nevermind, I can use the ang pows to get what I wanted… Well, here I am, would like to thank my family members for the gifts and ang pows. Also, a big thank you for the birthday wishes from online friends

Wondering what are the pressies I received?? Dang dang dang dang! Guess which pressies were given by mummy and daddy?? Nope, not the silver color Lamborghini Gallardo car as it was given by Karyn yee yee! Cool yea? The books, all of them was from daddy and mummy’s pressie? The train and dump truck from Fisher Price lor… :P The doggie which could walks, barks, wags its tail & sits was given by my Ah Chek. It also has a remote control for the doggie. Cool eh? Meanwhile the clothings were from daddy’s cousins. ;) So, of all these pressies, which one do you think I would go for first??

Of course the Lamborghini Gallardo!! Vroom-vroom….

Nevertheless, I also quite like the doggie…. and also mummy’s train and dump truck.

See… I got ’sayang’ the “dawg-dawg”!!

But then… nothing beats the Gallardo!! Hehe… Refused to let go and sleep without it :P

Well, that’s how I celebrated my first birthday. Looked more like ‘makan time’ for the adults, heh? :P .

Last but not least, daddy has created a slide show yesterday late night… please click here to view it. Happy viewing ;)

P/S: Thanks for spending your time reading this super long post. If you have any extra time, please spend some time viewing the the rest of the photos in a slideshow which daddy purposely created for me. Thank you very much. ;)

PP/S: Daddy was the photographer for the whole event except the cake cutting session. So, daddy would be very pleased to receive any comments from you on the photos in the slideshow. *wink-wink* hehe.

Shoes Mania.

Nov 14, 2008 Author: Ryan | Filed under: Baby care & solutions, Shopping, The Early Days

Shoes, shoes, shoes, shoes…. crazy about shoes. Nope, it’s not me having the shoes mania. Ever since I know how to walk unaided, MUMMY kept buying shoes for me!!

See! So many pairs of shoes she bought for me recently except the white color sports shoes. The white color sports shoes was bought by mummy few months before I was born. Therefore, this pair of shoes already a year old ;) . Two weeks ago, she spotted the black sandals and she bought it at 50% discount. Then, a week later she saw the brown color one which was at 70% discount and bought a bigger size pair as she couldn’t find my shoes size. Next, two days ago, she spotted this blue color shoes with a lion sewn on it at Bata and bought it home! *sigh while shake head*

So, now which one shall I wear for on my coming Birthday celebration on Sunday? *headache* Oh ya, should I wear white shirt or red t-shirt on that day? White color will look neat and handsome smart like “pak mah wong chi” but then old people says wear Red better wor… so how?

First of all, thanks to everyone for their well wishes. Today, I’m feeling a little much better now though the Mr. Flu releases the mucus a little lesser and Mr. Cough appears occasionally; but still got some stubborn phlegm stay back. Besides, my mood is much better now compared to the past few days whereby I became whiny and fussy through out the day due to the nose blocked which caused me having the difficult to breath especially in my sleep. Saturday and Sunday nights were pretty bad… I was sleepless and so did poor mummy keeping me accompany during the hard times :( .

So, on Monday, daddy and mummy took me to see my usual Pediatric, Dr. Dan after seeing me not getting any much better. Earlier, they took me to the 16hrs clinic nearby our house as Dr. Dan’s clinic was closed on Sat (half day) & Sunday. The medication which the clinic gave me didn’t seem to work for me.

As usual, while waiting for my turn, I went to play at the kid’s corner. While enjoying my ride on the fish shape rocker suddenly… I noticed there’s a pair of eyes staring at me!!

Dr. Dan checked my temperature and throat. No fever and throat no inflammation. He then prescribed me these yucky medications again. :(

Besides that, Dr. Dan also gave me these freebies… as a reward for behaving well during his examinations.  Hehe. I stayed still when he insert the thermometer into my ear. I just love it. :) However, I don’t like my nose to be cleaned and wipe! I don’t like people to wipe my face!! :P

So now, would you please excuse me? Time for me to play, play, play! ;)

Update (13 Nov):

Mummy bought this thing called Sterimar Sea Water Nasal Spray for me to clear my blocked nose. But then, I don’t like anyone touching my nose! Although it claimed that I won’t feel painful after spraying it into my nose and also helps to clear the mucus in my nose… I still DON’T LIKE anyone TOUCHING my nose & face!! :P Even as soon as I see the bottle or the adults use force on me, I would scream out loud and struggle to avoid them!! Also, dragging my wails a little longer after that just to complain a little bit more. Hehe… ;)

Attacked by the ‘BUGS’

Nov 10, 2008 Author: Ryan | Filed under: Health, The Early Days

The ‘Bugs’ have came back! First was Mr. Fever Bug which given me a surprise visit on Thursday night, 4am! Mr. Fever came back and went off few times on Friday. Then, on Saturday he only made up his mind to take a flight back to his home. However, Mr. Flu @ Running Nose bug dropped by the moment Mr. Fever left. Besides that, Mr. Flu brought his friend, Mr. Cough @ Phlegm along!! Oh my… I’m really super busy entertaining these bugs! It was not that bad entertaining Mr. Fever on Friday as I was quite energetic still but when Mr. Flu came I was quite worn out! I’m so tired…especially at night as Mr Flu discharges lots of mucus which made me couldn’t breathe and restless! Sigh.

Anyway, mummy and daddy have taken me to seek help in order to send these bugs home. So, as usual, I need to drink the colourful liquid in order to push these bugs taking a speedy flight back to their home! Sigh… how unlucky I was as these bugs targeted me after visiting the 2 years old kiddo living with us.

Ok, got to go now. Time for taking the yucky colourful liquids… again

P/S: Sorry, no photos for today as I don’t have any mood to snap any photos… Besides, the photographers are busy pacifying and entertaining the sick baby victim.

Last Sunday, daddy & mummy brought me to snap a passport size photo for my passport application. Next, we headed to the mall, Gurney Plaza to do some shopping! After mummy has done with her shopping, she brought me to the book store. Well, actually this was not my first time to the book store. According to mummy, I’ve been to the book store few times already when I was few months younger… :P Anyway, I couldn’t recall that I’ve been there as I was still a small baby lying on the stroller and staring at the lights on the ceiling only. I was indeed a good boy, huh?

At the book store, I saw a lot of books everywhere. Mummy kept pushing around to look for books which are suitable for me. Then, she stopped at one corner and started to show me few books. None of the books she showed me caught my attention except this book which has the picture of my favourite toy! I quickly grabbed the book from mummy right away. ;)

Mummy please don’t disturb! Stop taking photos, please! *Eyes glued on the book… pretty amazed with the pictures!*

Yes, I did flip the book page by page and screen through thoroughly on every pictures printed on the book. Besides, I was excited and eager to find the page which has my favourite… CAR CAR!! ;)

Alright, I found my favourite CAR CAR page!! Hmm… the car looked…. soooo COOL!! Aaaahh, what a nice red racing car. I hope it’s real… it would be superb if I could lay my hands on it and race on the floor for few rounds!

Santa, all I want for Christmas is a red sports car. Pleassse… I promise to be a good boy, ok? Hehe… ;)

I was sending a message to Santa Claus la… I didn’t fall asleep while reading the book, mummy! How could I as it’s such an interesting book to read ;)

Oh ya, my birthday is coming soon and so does Christmas!! Wooo, can’t wait to receive my pressies!! Well, I think you should be able to guess what pressies I would be getting for my birthday. And Christmas pressies too, I hope… *fingers crossed* hehe. ;)
