Weight & Height:

Took the measurement from the machine at Tesco. My BMI wasn’t in the normal BMI range. So, does this mean I’m under weight?? Hmm…

Yo, check out what I’ve got here! Daddy brought this back from Singapore. Nope, daddy didn’t buy this trike. This trike was previously belonged to Zann and now Zann’s mummy, aunty Cendrine gave it to me. Therefore, daddy brought it back when he’s in Singapore two weeks ago.

Yay, I’m 21 months old already. Three more months to go and I’ll be celebrating my 2nd birthday!! Anyway, today will be updating my milestones… let’s get started

Vital Statistics as of 18 August 2009:

Weight:

14kg – weighed on 3 August 09 during my 2nd pneumocc. jab. Oh ya, again I didn’t cry at all when PD injects the needle on my left arm. Mummy says I’ve got a very thick skin!

Height:

86cm (measured by nurse on 3 August. My last month’s height measurement not accurately measured by mummy! )

Teeth:

Still 16… but looks like 1 or 2 more teeth are going to erupt soon.

Feeding:

Fully on milk diet! Appetite changed… don’t like to eat rice/porridge and couldn’t take in much food. Why? Don’t know…just don’t feel like eating lo!

Food introduced:

1. Cauliflower & broccoli
2. Apom manis – good!
3. Prawn crackers – yum yum! I like junk food
4. Sai yong choy soup – my favourite!
5. Pak Kei Dong Sum soup – also my favourite.
6. Bak Kut Teh soup – not bad
7. ABC soup – nice.
8. Honey lemon drinks – yummy!

Sleeping Style:

Still prefer to sleep with mummy & daddy. However, sometimes I would volunteer to sleep on my own mattress on the floor… hehe. But then never once I dozed off on my own there as I would hop up to snuggle with mummy before dozing off to dreamland. Nevertheless, I slept through the night lately even though I’ve been placed back to my own mattress. 

Motor Skills:

Super duper active… love to run/move about.

Attempted to do a somersault on the bed.

Attempted to sing songs like happy birthday to you, twinkle twinkle little star, burung kakak tua, the wheels of the bus, ABC song etc.

Able to tap my legs fast when I dance… hehe, that’s my so called MJ’s dance

Able to wear and pull up my pants all by myself.

Able to listen to instructions to pose for daddy’s camera.

Able to solve 9 pieces of puzzles on my own.

Able to perform duck walk… and says quack quack!

Alphabets learning progress a little slowed down lately due to paying attention more on solving puzzles. However, I’ve learned V-Z and also gave mummy a surprised by singing ABC song to her after listening to mummy singing the song for me few times during bed time.

A little slow in picking up learning numbers. Mummy has been teaching me numbers for 2-3 weeks but still I refused to pay full concentration on recognizing numbers. The most I would recite the numbers from 1 – 10. Ahhh… I really not so into seeing the numbers

A little shy and doesn’t really knows how to socialize with other kids (except HW kor kor at home). So, I just play by myself. Of course la, I hardly goes out of the house and mix with other kids ma…

Also, feeling shy to expose my naked body…

Feeding/sharing my food with people. But depending on the types of food I like…

Able to perform thumb’s up hand sign on both sides of hands.

Able to mimic people/actions shown in TV. Eg.  kissing scene… I will run to mummy and kiss on her mouth

Communication/Social skills:

Have been a chatter box lately. Able to speak >6 words sentences. A little “chap palang” – mixture of English, mandarin & hokkien.

Well, here’s little things I love say…

• I want milk milk, mummy please! – requesting mummy’s milk.

• I want eat noodle. Yeh yeh give please…  – requesting some noodles from yeh yeh

• I want drink y-ta-gen (vitagen)… – requesting for vitagen

• What-s (is) this? – like to ask this when I wanted to know things. This has been my favourite question lately.

• What (are) you doing? - also my favourite question to the adults

• Where-s (is) mummy? - but I still to say the short cut way such as mummy where??

• Wo de, wo de! Bu ke yi mor! Ni jou khai! - That’s mine! You cannot touch! You go away!! Being a little possessive…

• No, bu chun mo! – No, you’re not allowed to touch!

• Wo de, (huan) kei wo la! – That’s mine… give me back!

• Ai  O, kwa chi? - Do you want some pumpkin seeds? (in hokkien)

• Mummy, give/take _____  tor (for) me please la. TQ! - request things from mummy.

• Mummy, let’s go fang chien la! please la! - insisting mummy to go to bedroom with me.

• Mummy sorryi (sorry)! – apologize when I did something wrong.

• Oh-O, spoil already… – when messing up something

• Daddy iPod where?  Want see Barney… – looking for daddy’s iPod as I want to watch barney show

  • Me: Go chopping (shopping).
  • Mahmi: ei daddy, your son wanna go shopping….
  • Me: Dahdee, let’s go!! go, go, go!
