Thinking out loud – as a toddler!

… and I better run away?

Nope, I no longer run away, wail nor yell “don want” like I used to do when I was 19 months old! Now, I would obediently come to mummy when she says, ” Ryan come and drink your medicine” and open my mouth readily for it

So, this is how I take my medicine…

Nevertheless, I’m ok and able to accept the taste of the medicines now.

Well, these were the first week of medicines I took for cough and phlegm.

After finishing the first batch of medicine, here came the 2nd week’s batch….

Then the 3rd week’s…. nope, they don’t work pretty well on me!

And now, the 4th week’s medicines… I had to take all these medicines due to the ‘stubborn’ phlegm lingers inside me and irritates my throat & nose which made me cough & nose blocked at night! Sigh… I don’t know why it refused to go away as I’ve listened to doctor’s advise not to take ice cream & cold/ice water.

Well, what to do? Need to take the medicines as prescribed by doctor in order to get well. Besides, I quite like the medicine as some of them taste good…. hehe
Anyway, my phlegm condition has improved a little.

4 weeks in a row for medicines!!! Ji Hin took 1 week to feed him medicines for fever/cough/runny nose already make me so difficult. Luckily Ryan acccepts medicines make mommy easier.
What I did when Ji Hin having sick, we sleep in room without air-cond, turn on low speed fan and open wide the windows. Doc also advice to fruits, ice, cold water.
Ryan mami says: He even loves more if it’s chinese medicine (powder). Yes, we sleep without aircond. Luckily, he doesn’t like fruits…
tpyo…
Doc advice no to feed fruits, ice, cold water.
good boy but so pitiful. so many meds to take
hey, have you checked with doc abt singulair? it’s good for cough due to allergy. ashley was coughing for almost a month and then stopped and then it came back. her paed prescribed singulair – chewables.
Ryan mami says: Actually, he doesn’t cough most of the time and the number of coughs not much. Just that the phlegm irritates his throat which make him coughs/vomits out once in a while. Hmm… will check with PD regarding the singulair if the phlegm doesn’t go away within this week. Thanks for sharing, Barb!
OH GOSH! 4 weeks of medications ! Did you try cod liver oil ? I think that works well for both of my kids. The white color type. Hope Ryan gets well soon. And glad that he ‘enjoy’ drinking his med.
aiyo.. poor Ryan… you have to take 4 weeks of medicine.. let’s pray that the phlegm monster go away fast fast ya… and you such a good boy to take medicine..
Aiyo.. so many medications! But he is such a good boy.. thumbs up lagi
Well, Ventolin & Butaline are what our Pae. usually gives to Chloe whenever she has running nose & phlegm.
Say if Ryan no longer cough, would you like to let him try Chinese Herb like “Hou Ning Powder” selling in Eu Yan Sang RM138/tub to help ‘clear’ the phlegm? I find it good and effective on Chloe so they can either vomit or poo poo out the phlegm stuck inside.
Hope Ryan gets well soon!!
wow that’s a lot of medications! Just drink plenty of fluids, eat porridge, soupy stuffs. No oily food ok.

My boy too like to take medicine, especially the fever medicine which was strawberry flavor. one evening he told me he wants to eat the strawberry and I don’t remember I had any inside the fridge. it was only when I open the fridge door, he pointed to that medicine bottle then I understand. *faint*
